Abstract

The goal of this effort is to develop software that could be used to automate the tedious task of analyzing video data to produce traffic counts. Existing commercial systems like Miovision offer solutions but they are expensive and can be somewhat cumbersome. The aim is to develop software that would be freely available to practitioners to reduce the cost of deploying video based traffic analysis systems.
