We do that by detecting objects that signify challenges, like wheelchairs, canes, etc. We used an open data set with such objects to do a first pass detection followed by manual selection. We now have about 40 video clips which show situational challenges. We have started to analyze them. Impacts The collected videos are the beginning of a data set of situational challenges experienced by bus passengers. This will be a very useful data set for disability research. Other n/a Outcomes New Partners n/a Issues The installation of our system on a second bus has been delayed because the manufacturer of the hardware sent us a faulty computer. Since there are some custom made features of the computer, it will take a while to get a replacement. We will concentrate on using the data from the first bus, i.e. we will analyze situations outside the bus.
