The PennDOT funding is likely to take place on 1 July 2019. The Quaker Valley Council of Governments received $40,000 from the PA Department of Community and Economic Development Aurora, the autonomous vehicle spinoff from CMU, will be providing in-kind research. The RCI team began work on Phase I on 13 February 2010. Three team meetings and one public meeting have been held. Collection of base data has begun.
